You
may not know the name...but you have definitely seen his work. Known worldwide
as not only a designer extraordinaire...but a sought after voice
in fashion
-- Glenn Laiken is being acclaimed as "the man who creates
images for the
who's who in the entertainment industry" and "the man who
makes men look their
best."
It started in 1968 when Glenn was flown to Paris by Maurice
Beiderman, the
owner of the Pierre Cardin and YSL labels for North
America.
Working behind-the-scenes with many famous designers -- Glenn
was among the
first to bring European Designer Menswear into the United
States introducing
such lines as Zegna, Zanella, Hugo Boss, Pancaldi and
many others.
A L A N D A L E S, the Los Angeles store founded by Glenn in 1968, immediately
starting attracting the "who's who" of Los Angeles as clients -- including
Michael Eisner, Arnold Rifkin and Michael Ovitz as well as the head of
every
major studio. These Hollywood power brokers became the unintended,
best form
of advertising. ALANDALES has been featured in many television
shows and movies
from the classic "American Gigilo," (Giorgio Armani's
first clothing assignment...the
rest is history...) to the DR. PHIL show.
Located across the street
from Sony Studios, ALANDALES currently works with
top costumers, designers
and suppliers from all of the major studios --
Universal, Warner Brothers,
Disney and Paramount among others. Glenn
currently designs all of the wardrobe
for bestselling author and talk show
phenomenon Dr. Phil McGraw, best known
as "Dr. Phil," Phil Jackson, coach
for the Los Angeles Lakers, executives
at every major studio and CEOs for
corporations worldwide.
A
sought-after designer worldwide, Glenn currently designs for several
different
manufacturers in Italy, Canada and America -- including a
collection for Mabro,
one of Italy's finest hand made clothing
manufacturers. (Mabro produces the
coture for Prada, Louis Vuitton and
several other famous names worldwide).
Glenn also has his his own
collection of men's quality dress shirts being
made in
Pakistan...the quality of Borelli, Loranzini and Brioni at a fraction
of
the cost using the finest Italian cottons.
"My mission is to make every
man look his absolute best -- based on his
personal image," said Glenn. "Working
with his skin, hair and eye color is
the answer to his personal color palette.
Then I can create his personal
wardrobe using his colors, textures and fabrics
which makes him look
his absolute best."
Glenn will be featured
in the upcoming DR. PHIL show in the "Overhaul My
Spouse" episode -- where
Glenn features this image transformation
strategy...a highly anticipated episode.
